Planning Long Term vs. Short Term: The Opportunities and the Challenges
Description:
All companies know the importance of long term strategic planning but few ever really effectively execute them. Even for those organizations that develop strategic plans, and not many organizations do, the pull of current business demands quickly derails even the best of intentions. In this presentation you will learn the dynamics of operational inertia and what it takes to both meet the demands of today's business and execute your long term strategy.
Who Should Attend:
CEOs, Sr. Executives, Directors, and those who are interested in better execution of their plans.
Specific Outcomes:
- Understand organization lifecycles
- Understand organizational inertia and how to use it to your advantage
- Learn strategy road mapping and how it can balance long term and short term demands
Presenter:
Norman Wolfe has spent almost 40 years working in a variety of organizations from Fortune 500 to technology startups. He is viewed as an expert in the areas of strategy execution, change adoption, process improvement, building teams, and providing intuitive insights that bring out the deeper dynamics of an organization.
He started Quantum Leaders in 2002 to help boards, CEOs, and their organizations execute strategy. Their emphasis is purely on execution. It is from this intention that Norman recognized the limitations of the old business maps and the need for a new model for CEOs and others to effectively lead their organizations.
Mr. Wolfe sits on the board and is chairman of the governance committee of a NASDAQ traded company, is a member of the board of a technology startup, is a founding member and secretary of the Technology Leadership PAC, and is the Chairman of the Board for Web Wise Kids, a non-profit agency educating youth on the safe and appropriate use of the Internet.
