The Living Organization™ - The Physics and Spirit of Business

Description:
We all know that 2008 is not the same as 1908. Life moves faster, change occurs more frequently and we are part of a global community instead of a local community. This raises a number of questions:

- Can the business model that took root in the early 1900's still work in the 21st Century?
- What can we learn from the trends in business over the last 100 years?
- Is there a new model? How would it be different and how would it be the same?
- What are the implications for today's leaders?

Norman Wolfe will give answers to these questions and others, as well as share his insights about how the modern corporation is changing. We can no longer simply tweak a 20th century design and expect it to work in the 21st century. Norman will present a model that accounts for not only the traditional views of the past but includes the living organic nature required for the future. This model, developed by Norman and his team at Quantum Leaders provides a new framework, for how to view businesses' role in our society and a new map to navigate towards success in the 21st century

Specific Outcomes:
- Have an easy to understand model that addresses all the complexities of today's business
- Learn how to establish a frame of reference that will ensure long term sustainable success
- Know how to discern and apply the right solutions to the right problems
- Understand the new role of tomorrow's CEO and what you can do to prepare yourself

Presenter:
Norman Wolfe has spent almost 40 years working in a variety of organizations from Fortune 500 to technology startups. He is viewed as an expert in the areas of strategy execution, change adoption, process improvement, building teams, and providing intuitive insights that bring out the deeper dynamics of an organization.

He started Quantum Leaders in 2002 to help boards, CEOs, and their organizations execute strategy. Their emphasis is purely on execution. It is from this intention that Norman recognized the limitations of the old business maps and the need for a new model for CEOs and others to effectively lead their organizations.

Mr. Wolfe sits on the board and is chairman of the governance committee of a NASDAQ traded company, is a member of the board of a technology startup, is a founding member and secretary of the Technology Leadership PAC, and is the Chairman of the Board for Web Wise Kids, a non-profit agency educating youth on the safe and appropriate use of the Internet.
